In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Gut Feeling.”
I’d like to think that every decision I make is good, but I don’t live in a perfect world and I’m certainly not a perfect human. And unfortunately when I do trust my gut feeling sometimes my gut lies. I’ve been in situations where if I would have maybe trusted my head a little more and not my gut then maybe life wouldn’t be so complicated.
And yet I can’t bring myself to stop relying on my gut feeling and on instinct and on just plain dreams. I think that the moment I stop relying on those things is the moment I stop being human. Mistakes are what have made me who I am whether for better or for worse. And no doubt they will continue to shape who I become in the future.
